Astrology - What Does Your Sun Sign Say About You?

So who doesn't want to know what your sun sign says about you? Even the "non-believers" secretly want to know what all the fuss is about astrology. Many people don't realize that the western belief in astrology reaches as far back as the Babylonians in the 4th century b.c. who regarded astrology as a science. Chinese, Arab, Indiana and Meso-American astrology appears to date back even before that time. Although the ancients had a limited knowledge of the stars, this soon changed. Under the influence of the Greeks, astrology's scope was enlarged and came to include all the known sciences. Elements of botany, biology, chemistry and anatomy became forever linked with astronomy. Plants, animals, elements, minerals, colors, and parts of the human body became assigned to a particular sun sign. These associations remain to this day and many more have been added. Practically every ancient civilization that we know of considered astrology to be a science. Three main branches of astrology were formed as time passed: Western, Indian and Eastern. While there are numerous variations within each branch, the three main branches survive today and all three have the same basic belief in the ability of the stars and planets to predict not just who you are at birth but the future as well. Each body in our solar system has a part to play in our personality - not just our Sun Sign. The Moon, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are all considered personal planets/bodies and each contributes you our personality in its own way.
